Integrations & data

Integrations you can audit, built on data entities and Azure.

Orders re-keyed from the web shop, payment files uploaded by hand, a Salesforce link that fails silently. Every one of those is an integration that was never built properly. We connect Dynamics 365 to Salesforce, e-commerce platforms, banks, warehouses and logistics providers using data entities and Azure integration patterns, with error handling and reconciliation you can see.

In plain terms

How we build integrations

Every integration starts with a one-page design: what moves, in which direction, how often, what happens when it fails, and who is told. Most problems with integrations come from skipping that page.

The build uses standard Dynamics 365 data entities and Microsoft’s supported integration patterns: OData and the recurring integrations scheduler for Finance & Operations, Dataverse and Power Automate where Customer Engagement is involved, and Azure services (Logic Apps, Service Bus, Functions) when queuing, transformation or retries are needed.

Reconciliation is part of the design. A daily report that says how many orders left the web shop and how many arrived in Dynamics is worth more than any amount of monitoring.

Good fit when
How we do it

The steps, in the order they happen.

01

Integration design

One page per interface: data, direction, frequency, failure handling, ownership. Agreed before any build.

02

Mapping and entities

Field mappings on standard data entities, with the custom fields you actually need and nothing more.

03

Build

Dynamics 365 data entities, Dataverse and Azure integration patterns. No undocumented scripts on a server nobody can log into.

04

Error handling and alerts

Failures are logged, retried where safe, and reported to a named person. Silent failure is not an option.

05

Reconciliation and handover

A daily or weekly reconciliation report, documentation, and a walkthrough with your team.

What you get
Common problems we see

What usually goes wrong, and what fixes it.

The web shop orders that stopped arriving

An e-commerce integration failed for four days before anyone noticed, because nothing told anyone. A reconciliation report and an alert would have shown it on day one.

Three versions of the customer

Customers created in Salesforce, Dynamics and the web shop separately, with different names and addresses. Deciding which system owns which field is the fix, before any code.

The payment file that changed

A bank updated its file specification and payments bounced. Keeping the format mapping in one documented place turns that into a one-hour change.

Questions

Frequently asked

Salesforce, Shopify and other e-commerce platforms, bank and payment file formats, warehouse management and courier or logistics providers, plus reporting and data warehouse feeds.

It depends on the number of interfaces and the need for queuing and retries. For one or two interfaces, direct data-entity integration is often enough. For more, Azure Logic Apps or Service Bus keeps things maintainable. The design stage makes this call.

Every integration we build includes a reconciliation report and alerts on failure to a named person. You do not find out at month-end.

Yes. We document what it does first, then decide with you whether to stabilise it or rebuild it on supported patterns.

When they are built on standard data entities and supported patterns, yes. Integrations that depend on undocumented tables or over-layered code are the ones that break.
